Terms of Service
Last updated August 25, 2026
These terms govern your use of Stow, the AI-organized personal archive. They are written to be read: short sections, no surprises, and nothing that claims ownership of your content.
1. The service
Stow is operated by Stow (operating entity to be announced) (“we”, “us”). Stow lets you capture notes, links, emails, and files — directly, by forwarding email, through the API, or via read-only Gmail and Google Drive connectors you authorize — and uses AI to organize them into a private, searchable archive. By creating an account you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.
2. Your account
You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials and API tokens confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old (or the higher minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use Stow.
3. Your content
Everything you capture remains yours. You grant us only the limited license needed to operate the service: to store your content, process it with AI to organize it, and display it back to you. We claim no other rights, and the license ends when you delete the content or your account.
You are responsible for having the right to store what you capture. Do not use Stow to store content that is unlawful or that infringes someone else’s rights.
4. AI output
AI-generated titles, summaries, tags, and filing suggestions are assistance, not fact. They may be inaccurate or incomplete, and they never replace your original content, which is stored immutably alongside them. Review AI output before relying on it for anything important.
5. Acceptable use
- No attempting to breach, probe, or overload the service or its security.
- No reselling or providing the service to third parties without our agreement.
- No using the API or email-in capture to send unlawful or malicious content.
- No circumventing plan limits or metering.
6. Plans and billing
Free and paid plans and their limits are described on the pricing page. Payments are processed by Stripe; subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled and can be cancelled any time from Settings, taking effect at the end of the billing period. Exceeding a plan’s limits never deletes your data — you can always view, search, export, and delete everything you have stored.
7. Termination and data export
You can export your full archive and delete your account at any time from Settings → Account; deletion is permanent. We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially violate these terms, and where reasonable we will warn you first and give you the opportunity to export your data.
8. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of these terms or the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. For material changes we will notify you in the product or by email before they take effect; continuing to use Stow after that constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction of the operating entity (to be announced). Questions about these terms: support@stowapp.dev.
