What happens when I hit AI limits?
Nothing is lost. New captures keep landing in your Inbox; hosted AI organization pauses and items wait flagged for review. Processing resumes when your allowance resets, when you upgrade, or when you add your own AI key.
Can I bring my own AI key?
Yes, on every plan. Point Stow at any OpenAI-compatible endpoint, choose the model, and set your own monthly spend cap. Your key is stored encrypted. With your own key the hosted AI allowances no longer apply — product limits (items, storage, sources, API) still do.
Do captures get lost if AI is paused?
Never. Capture and AI processing are separate steps by design: the original content is saved first and is immutable. AI pausing only delays organization, not capture.
What counts as a source?
Each thing Stow watches: a Gmail label, a Google Drive folder, or your email-forwarding address. Watching two Gmail labels uses two sources.
Is my raw content still accessible if I downgrade?
Yes. Downgrading never deletes anything. You can always view, search, export, and delete everything you've stored — you just can't add new usage past the smaller plan's limits until you're back under them.
Can I export or delete my data?
Anytime, on every plan including Free. Settings → Account gives you a complete JSON export and full account deletion. Export and deletion are never paywalled.
